More Trees BANES has got a very exciting weekend ahead. We need HELP please from YOU! Over the course of two planting sessions; one on Saturday and one on Sunday, running from 10 am to 3 pm each day. We will be gathering together in the field behind Purlewent Drive to leave a legacy for future generations.
We are helping to plant 1,200 trees, creating a completely new area of woodland within Weston, Bath. This will be the chance to work together as a team with other volunteers to get this mammoth task done - one which will contribute to the national and international goal to create more woodland to slow climate change trends.
Please wear suitable footwear, bring a spade if you can. Gardening gloves would be useful and a MUG! We will bring tea, coffee and cakes. Spare spades and gloves are available.
Parking is restricted, but there will be a few spaces in Purlewent Drive. Otherwise, make your way along Purlewent Drive on foot or by bicycle. In between Nos 100 and 98 there is a small alley/track which leads you up onto the Cotswold Way. Follow the track into the field through a kissing gate and uphill for about 3 minutes walk. You will see a group of people in the field. Come and join us!
