At the SU, we provide SSLC training for newly appointed Academic Reps as part of our initial mandatory training package. This discusses what an SSLC is, what their role in the meeting is and how to prepare for a meeting.

What is an SSLC?

Staff-Student Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings are attended by Academic Reps. We ask every department for the dates for the upcoming year so they can be listed on our website.

Staff Student Liaison Committee Secretaries

Staff Student Liaison Committee (SSLC) secretaries support Academic Representatives in their departments. Part of your role is to ensure that the academic representation team receives dates and minutes of meetings. We use SSLC minutes to inform the work of the Students' Union and Faculty Reps.
