Justin Wildridge: Clarinet and Saxophone Tuition

Justin will be teaching on Mondays between 13:15 - 18:15 in the Choral Practice Room.

Lessons will begin on Monday 14 February 2022.

Justin studied music at Bath Spa University where he specialised in performance on piano, clarinet, saxophone and in composition. His postgraduate work took him to Nottingham University under the tutorage of Nicholas Sackman and Hugh Wood where he was awarded his Doctorate in composition in 1994.

Justin enjoys teaching a wide variety of students from every level of ambition and ability. He delights in working with absolute beginners through to those preparing for entry to colleges and conservatoires. He has extensive knowledge of the practical examination systems including ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School. Justin is a professional accompanist and always plays for his students in their examinations.

As an educationalist, Justin has taught both practical and academic music for nearly thirty years in the UK and mainland Europe. He has taught GCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate Music with a high success rate in all formal examinations. Through Zig-Zag Education, Justin has published a number of popular educational recourses.

Justin has a passion for a broad variety of music having played in symphony orchestras, jazz bands and blues and pop outfits for years.  His approach to learning is friendly, professional and always tailored to the needs of each individual player.

In addition to his teaching work Justin also runs a successful business working as a composer for Film.
