About the BCSS

What is BCSS?

BCSS, or Bath Computer Science Society, is a student run, departmental society. Currently BCSS is led by a committee of second year students who are members of the society from last year and dedicated to running as many events as possible for our members.

Who joins BCSS?

The demographic trend of the society is towards Computer Science students across various years within the Computer Science Department at Bath. However, BCSS is about providing a platform where any student interested in technology, regardless of discipline or background, can meet other like-minded students interested in computer science technologies, technology and business IT.

What does BCSS do?

BCSS runs a variety of events throughout the Academic year including a trip to Bletchley Park, 24 Hour Hackathon, End of Year Ball, workshops and guest speakers as well as many socials!

How is BCSS funded?

BCSS receives an annual budget from the SU and take a small amount of money from membership fees - only £4 per member for the whole year! We are still exploring new sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming year.

So sign up to the BCSS now for only £4 and get involved with one of the most active societies at Bath!
