Exam Issues Survey - Semester 1
We have heard feedback from students that there were some issues with exams during the Semester 1 examination period. These ranged from exam errors, length of exam and the content of exam. We are interested in hearing from you on this so that we can relay this back to the University and relevant Departments making sure that the impact of this is mitigated accordingly.

It's worth noting that the information given will be anonymous so we are unable to support individual issues.
What will we do with this information?
We will share data on your departments with Academic Reps and University staff so that it can be discussed at your SSLC's and relevant meetings! On top of this, as an SU, we will use this data to find out what the key issues students are finding with their exams and sharing these with the university to help develop exams to be better.
Who can further support you?
If you or someone in your cohort have had an issue with an exam(s) you can always apply for an IMC, appeal your grade (when you have it) or make a complaint, if you want support with any of these processes please contact The SU Advice and Support team. They are super friendly and approachable and will be able to guide you through the next steps.
IMC DEADLINE
If you feel you have in anyway been affected by COVID during this assessment period, we urge you to consider submitting an IMC as soon as possible - the deadline for IMCs relating to exams is 09:30 (GMT) Saturday 30/01/2021. We also encourage you to speak to your Director of Studies or Personal Tutor.
We recommend you read through our guidance here, about IMCs, extensions and deferrals. This includes highlighting the key University information you need to know about each process, how they work and how you report them.
The IMC process is there for you to let your department and the Board of Examiners know that your ability to do your assessments has been impacted due to circumstances outside of your control. They will then factor this into their decision-making process when finalising your unit outcomes. Read the University guidance here to find out further what an IMC is and how can it help you.
