For my first decree as president...

Hi everyone, Mr President here.

I am incredibly excited to be here for another term in Office, especially now that I have the opportunity to work in a much broader capacity.

First off, thank you once again to everyone who voted, I am incredibly honoured to have received such a huge level of support!

The first few weeks have been pretty hectic, with lots to do. I've been wrapping up all of my sports projects, handing over to Emily, and getting started with all of my presidential responsibilities. But despite the busy start, it's been a lot of fun.

The new officer team are a great bunch. I think they're all finding their feet well, and they already have lots of great ideas and things planned. They're engaging positively with stakeholders, and I think we're set for a very interesting and exciting year. Not to mention Tash started an SU Minecraft server, but sadly I discovered they are all much better at the game than I am.

So, with two months before term starts, we have lots to do. Discussions around our Top 10 priorities are already underway, and we're beginning to pull together our key areas of focus for the year ahead.

My priorities include developing a strategic plan for a stronger SU presence in the city, pushing for greater recognition and skills development opportunities through extracurricular activities, and supporting the launch of the brand-new SU strategy. I have plenty more in the works, so watch this space for more updates!

In the meantime, I need to get my head down and make plenty of progress before term begins. That being said I'm really looking forward to having the buzz back on campus and seeing what's in store for the year ahead.
