Tom Morris OBE has been the Artistic Director at the Bristol Old Vic since 2009, and an Associate Director at the National Theatre in London since 2004. His production of Michael Morpurgo's War Horse won a Tony Award in 2011. He is also a director, writer and producer, and has worked in broadcasting and journalism writing for The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph and more. He is one of the most important figures in British theatre right now, and he's right on our doorstep just down the road in Bristol!
Bristol Old Vic is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world. It has a reputation for transferring sell-out shows to London and internationally, and its Engagement Department offers theatrical opportunities for young people across Bristol and the South West. The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is an internationally renowned training ground for young actors, with alumni such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Olivia Colman, Josh O'Connor and Pearl Mackie.
