Volunteer Groups
It started In 1991 by a group of men who wanted to take a stance on male violence against women. It is a male lead campaign globally. The Campaign sparks 16 days of Activism to end Gender-Based Violence, this ends on the 10th of December which is also known as Human Rights Day. Let’s come together and say 'NO' to violence against women. To get the message out that men’s violence against women and girls must end. And that all men can make a difference. #AllMenCan is the leading message this year. As we move towards the end of the year we want as many men as possible to think carefully and make the White Ribbon pledge; "Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women". Set up a stall and get the conversation going around Gender-based Violence and encourage people to make the pledge
It begins on the 25th of November and is known as the "White Ribbon Day", also known as the "International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women", and is an annual day to raise awareness of male violence against women and children. It started In 1991 by a group of men who wanted to take a stance on male violence against women. It is a male lead campaign and would be wonderful to have more male contributions in running the campaign, but everyone is welcome. The Campaign sparks 16 days of Activism to end Gender-Based Violence, this ends on the 10th of December which is also known as Human Rights Day. On White Ribbon Day Thursday 25 November I would like people to come together and say 'NO' to violence against women. To get the message out that men’s violence against women and girls must end. And that all men can make a difference. #AllMenCan is the leading message this year. This message was developed for the campaign in March when the murder of Sarah Everard brought women’s experience of men’s violence to the forefront of everyone’s minds. It also opened up so many conversations about men taking action and making a stand. As we move towards the end of the year we want as many men as possible to think carefully and make the White Ribbon pledge; "Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women".
