When Stourhead first opened in the 1740s\, a magazine described i t as &lsquo\;a living work of art&rsquo\;. The world-famous landscape gar den has at its centrepiece a magnificent lake reflecting classical temple s\, mystical grottoes\, and rare and exotic trees\, it offers a day of fr esh air and discovery.

\n\n

You can also discover the magnificent 18 th century Palladian '\;Stourhead house'\;\, Within the house is a significant collection of regency furniture\, beautiful artwork and many heritage pieces\, all displayed within it'\;s grand\, opulent rooms.\n\n

Stourhead is one of the National Trust'\;s most iconic \; estates and is not to be missed.

The times listed on the event are from when the coach will leave the campus in the morning\, until an approximate arriva l back to Bath. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure \, for boarding\, in order to ensure the coach leaves on time. Arrival ti mes to the destination and back to \;Bath are subject to traffic\, we ather and road conditions\, which are beyond our control\, so we cannot g uarantee exact time/s of arrival.
The trips will go ahead rega rdless of weather conditions\, so please do come prepared. This excludes extreme or dangerous weather\, where we would\, of course\, cancel for yo ur safety. In the event that we cancel the trip\, you would be fully refu nded.
If you can no longer attend the trip\, you may transfer your ticket to another student. Please ensure you inform us in writing to su-trips@bath.ac.uk at least 24 hours before departure time. Also\, quit e often we have a waiting list so we may be able to put you in contact wi th a student waiting for a ticket.
