\n\n<p>Across the globe\, Transgender and Intersex people are disproporti
onately the victims of violence\, rape\, murder\, suicide and honor killi
ngs.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>Even in England\, Transgender people have a higher
mortality rate compared to Cisgender people.&nbsp\;</p>\n\n<p>The names t
hat will be read during the service are only those that we know the story
behind. The majority of&nbsp\;victims will never be known\, and their na
mes are already forgotten.</p>\n\n<h2>What are we doing?</h2>\n\n<p>We wi
ll start by tying ribbons with the names of each victim on the fencing ou
tside the chaplaincy\, as a memorial to those siblings we have lost.<br /
 >\nThe chaplaincy will be there for quiet reflection until 6:15\, at whic
h point there will be a one hour service dedicated to those victims. The
service will be largely non-religious\, out of respect for the diverse be
liefs of the victims whose names we shall read.</p>\n\n<p><strong>There w
ill be a room in Chancellor&#39\;s Building available for relaxation\, an
d a member of LGBT+ committee there to help provide signposting for those
that need it.</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>5:15 Ribbon tying outside of th
e chaplaincy.<br />\n6:15 Service starts inside chapel\, there will be sp
eeches followed by the traditional reading of names.<br />\n7:15 Service
 ends.</strong></p></body></html>
