The Quirky Lacock country house and abbey has monastic roots and an original medieval cloister. It was once home to Henry Fox Talbot\ , a photographic pioneer. The '\;on-site'\; Fox Talbot museum explo res the history of photography and Lacocks role within it. After Visitin g the abbey\, take a wander around the beautiful village\, nothing has re ally changed in the last 200 years! There are pubs\, a bakery and various local gift shops to explore. The village is so beautiful that it has bee n the backdrop for many much loved movies. Firstly\, HARRY POTTER ! The times listed on the event are f rom when the coach will leave the campus in the morning\, until an approx imate arrival back to Bath. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure\, for boarding\, in order to ensure the coach leaves on time . Arrival times to the destination and back to \;Bath are subject to traffic\, weather and road conditions\, which are beyond our control\, so we cannot guarantee exact time/s of arrival.

The trips will g o ahead regardless of weather conditions\, so please do come prepared. Th is excludes extreme or dangerous weather\, where we would\, of course\, c ancel for your safety. In the event that we cancel the trip\, you would b e fully refunded.

If you can no longer attend the trip\, you m ay transfer your ticket to another student. Please ensure you inform us i n writing to su-trips@bath.ac.uk at least 24 hours before departure time. Also\, quite often we have a waiting list so we may be able to put you i n contact with a student waiting for a ticket.
