The Quirky Lacock country house and abbey has monasti c roots and an original medieval cloister. It was once home to Henry Fox Talbot\, a photographic pioneer. The '\;on-site'\; Fox Talbot museu m explores the history of photography and Lacocks role within it. After Visiting the abbey\, take a wander around the beautiful village\, nothing has really changed in the last 200 years! There are pubs\, a bakery and various local gift shops to explore. The village is so beautiful that it has been the backdrop for many much loved movies. Firstly\, HARRY POTTER! You'\;ll find Harry potter'\;s parents 9\; house\, Slughorns hideaway\, Hogwar ts corriders (The cloisters at the abbey) Snape'\;s potion cl assroom and the Babberton Arms from the the Half-Blood prince (Sign of th e Angel pub \;in Lacock) See more detail here. The times listed on the event are from when th e coach will leave the campus in the morning\, until an approximate arriv al back to Bath. You will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departur e\, for boarding\, in order to ensure the coach leaves on time. Arrival t imes to the destination and back to \;Bath are subject to traffic\, w eather and road conditions\, which are beyond our control\, so we cannot guarantee exact time/s of arrival.

The trips will go ahead reg ardless of weather conditions\, so please do come prepared. This excludes extreme or dangerous weather\, where we would\, of course\, cancel for y our safety. In the event that we cancel the trip\, you would be fully ref unded.

If you can no longer attend the trip\, you may transfer your ticket to another student. Please ensure you inform us in writing t o su-trips@bath.ac.uk at least 24 hours before departure time.
