Casual Chess \;

\n\n

Are you a chess fanatic or want to learn how to play Chess. Either way\, Cas ual Chess is open to all Freshers&rsquo\;\, \;regardless of skill and experience levels! The event will be hosted by \;the Chess Society ( ChessSoc)\, as they \;provide \;a fantastic\, welcoming chess-pla ying environment where they will kindly be providing \;chess sets\, a s well as clocks for those who want \;a more competitive spin\, so ju st turn up and play anytime during the event'\;s duration. In addition to regular chess\, there will also be chess variants such as Bughouse&nb sp\;as well as \;Hand &\; Brain \;for those \;wanting a&nb sp\;more adventurous \;style of \;Chess \;playing. The event will allow those involved to chill and relax whilst playing an interestin g game\, in a nice outdoor environment whilst making new friends in the p rocess. \; \;

This event is open to ALL \;freshers& nbsp\;and you do not need a ticket to attend! However\, you will \;be required \;to check in upon arrival so please bring your student car d with you. \; \;

Accessibility Information - What can I expect from this event? \;

This event will take place on The Chancellors Green. The event will be calmer event so noise l evels are estimated to be lower. This is due to \;expected lower capa cities of Freshers&rsquo\; attending as well as the \;nature of the&n bsp\;activity being one in which has a calm and relaxing manner. Wheelcha ir access is easy due to the location being outside and easily \;acce ssible \;along the regular paths across the University Campus. \;  \;

If forecasted weather is poor\, there are plans to move the event elsewhere. If this \;can&rsquo\;t \;happen\, \;the event may be postponed or cancelled. No prior experience is \;requir ed. \; \;
