Event: An Evening on Student Mental Health - Stories and Self-Care

Thursday 22 November 2018 at 7:15pm - 8:15pm

CB 3.5

A series of talks from students and external speakers on mental health, sharing personal experiences and also offering Q&A. A brilliant opportunity to see the value of being open with your mental health and to learn from other's experiences!

There will be three speakers during the event:

- A speaker from Mind (the national mental health charity)

- Patrick Taylor (a member of the Student Minds Bath Campaigns Committee)

- Lorna O'Connor (a Bath alumnus who originally set up Student Minds Bath)

Of particular interest is Lorna, a Bath alumnus who has since gone on to lobby the government for better eating disorder services across the UK! Whilst each speaker will cover particular topics, the general theme for the evening is student mental health and the importance of self-care.
