Here at Bath, Freshers’ Week isn’t limited to just one place; Freshers’ Week is held across the whole of campus!
Although not an inclusive list, our main venues will be:
Founders' Hall / Arena
During the daytime, Founders’ hall will host some of our FW favourites including inflatables and our incredible Freshers’ Fair.
In the evenings it transforms into a huge arena where 2500 of you can party the night away at the Arena Nights.
The Student Centre:
The Student Centre is a hub for student activity at the University. Here you’ll find Advice and Support services, our Freshers' Week information point, access to the bar and nightclub and numerous food outlets. There are many tables for you to come and just chill with friends in between events.
During Freshers’ Week, The Student Centre also hosts the incredibly popular Pizza and Board games throughout the week
The Plug & The Tub:
The Plug and Tub is the Students Union Bar and nightclub. In the daytime, it is a great place to relax, watch live sport, play pool, or grab a coffee with friends. In the evenings, it is Bath’s biggest nightclub with club nights on every Wednesday and Saturday during the semester!
Head here during Freshers Week to collect your wristband, party at the Silent Disco, or sample some cocktails.
Host to a wide array of arts events, The Edge is used by many of our societies every week. Here you’ll find the music practice rooms, dance studio, theatre and exhibition spaces.
During Freshers' Week, the Edge will be the home our of Comedy Night, live music nights and other activities
Chill out, relax and unwind with events such as yoga, meditation and a huge poster sale in The Tent. This is the perfect place to take a break and chat with new friends. There will also be pool tables on free play for you to enjoy from arrivals weekend through to the end of Freshers' Week.
The Parade runs through the centre of campus, with the library right in the middle. During Freshers week, the parade hosts SU Sports Day and SU Groups Day where loads of student sports clubs, societies, faith and cultural groups and more will be showcasing what they have to offer.
All of the venues on campus are fully accessible, and if you require accessibility information please view the campus accessibility page
