Meet your committee for 2020/21

Chair - Lowie Cloesen

Hi I'm Lowie and I'm the club chair for 20/21. I joined the gymnastics club in my first year because I wanted to keep training but I quickly realised that the club has much more to offer than just sessions in the gym. Since then I've enjoyed going to themed socials, Christmas meals, not-so-competitive competitions and especially the end-of-year "gym week" which involves very little gymnastics and a whole lot of fun! I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new members in September, face to face or virtually, and to another great year of gymnastics

Captain - Imran Choudhury

I’m Imran, I am your captain and I’m a second-year mechanical engineering student. I’m someone who has spent a large part of his life at gymnastics clubs and competing, I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

Secretary - Roxani Sofia

My name is Roxani Sofia, and I am this year's secretary. This will be my fifth year at Bath uni, studying Mathematics, and fourth year as a member. Throughout these years, I've really enjoyed my time with everyone at gym, with training and socials often being the highlight of the week. Moreover, I would definitely recommend participating in a few competitions, they are lots of fun and you also get to meet fellow gymnasts from other universities! I look forward to meeting lots of new people this year as well.

Treasurer - Conor Moffatt

Hi everyone, I'm Conor, this year’s treasurer! I am going into my fifth and final year at bath studying Integrated Design Engineering. I've been involved with the club since first year and can't wait to continue. During gym sessions you’ll probably find me playing on the P-bars or Rings, don’t be afraid to give these a go! Looking forward to meeting you all in the year ahead.

Social Secretary - Alice Balls

Hi I’m Alice your social sec for this year. I’m currently in my second year of studying Health and Exercise Science. I joined gym last year as a fresher after enjoying watching gymnastics but never having a proper opportunity to take it up, and since joining gym I have loved it (especially the socials) and can’t wait to have an even better year this year with everyone.

Welfare and Inclusivity Officer - Emily Parkinson

Hi I'm Emily and I am your Welfare and Inclusivity Officer. Its my job to make sure everyone has the opportunity to join in and make the most of your time within the club. I did gymnastics when I was little but wasn't very good so when I joined UoB Gymnastics Club in my first year I still wasn't very good. But everyone was so welcoming and fun I stayed anyway! While I've definitely improved now, I'm still mainly in it for the fantastic people we have in the club.
