I work for the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters which is part of the Insurance sector. We are hosting a Claims Professionals Conference in the Apex Hotel (James Street West, Bath, United Kingdom, BA1 2DA) on the 26th September and the DoubleTree Hilton Bath (Walcot Street, Bath BA1 5BJ, United Kingdom) on the 27th September.

We have an opportunity for three students to attend the conference while also assisting with the events management on the day.
The role would include:
- Manning the registration desk:
- Registering all attendees and giving them their badge and programmes for both days
- Assisting with any queries regarding where to go, timings, break areas
- General event support:
- Ensuring that the break areas are turned over on time by liaising with the venue
- Greeting and supporting attendees
- Ensuring that the right delegates are attending the right conference (there are two one for emerging talent).
Outside of registration and break times the students would be welcome to attend the conference so this may appeal to insurance students looking to widen their knowledge of the claims process or potentially other associated sectors such as engineers. There are many sponsors/exhibitors there from legal, restoration, forensic scientists etc. as well as recruiters for Loss Adjusting and Broking firms. It might also appeal to anyone studying event management.
There will be a point of contact (myself) to help with any difficult enquiries and issues - I just needing more hands-on deck!
The role is for a day and half conference: 08:00-17:30 on Thursday 26 September 08:00-12:00 on Friday 27 – potentially they may be relived early on the second day. All food will be provided, and dietaries can be submitted.
