The Prescription for Exercise scheme was successfully piloted in 2019 and is now being rolled out for a larger group of students, helping them improve their wellbeing through interaction and exercise!
Peer mentors play a key role in the scheme, helping students overcome barriers to engaging in regular exercise (don't worry- doesn't have to be strenuous!) and providing friendly, encouraging support to their mentees. Think this could be you?
As a mentor, you will meet your mentee once a week, in-person, or virtually if you'd prefer. During this meet-ups, you'll get involved with some physical activity together. You'll also be keeping in touch with your mentee, and signposting additional support as needed.

The deadline for applications is 8th October at midday. Training will be provided in October before you start the role and mentors may be matched with a mentee at different points in the year.
