I’m Curtis Mansfield, a Clinical Pharmacist within the NHS, who graduated from the University of Bath in 2018.

Whilst at Bath I immersed myself in SU Sport, competing in hockey, rugby and rowing as well as representing Team Bath Buccaneers.

During the COVID pandemic, despite being busy at work I found myself with time on my hands, so decided to do something I’ve been interested in doing for a while, and start my own podcast - Hips and Dips. The pod is all about sport with a special focus on injury and recovery - a subject close to my heart following a series of performance altering injuries. The first series of Hips and Dips features many international sporting stars, including GB modern pentathlete Sarah Collin and GB bobsledder Adam Hames (both fellow Bath students). Other guests include Dominic McGeekie (London Scottish Rugby), Simone Ming (Callisthenics) and Luke Strong (GB Gymnastics). With many of my upcoming guests targeting Tokyo 2021 or Beijing 2022, there is plenty to learn from. All episodes are available from your podcast provider (Spotify, Apple, Google Podcasts etc) and more information can be found on this Instagram page

“It’s been great to see Curt go from strength-to-strength with his new podcast. Despite the barriers of lockdowns - and no experience behind the mic since the highs of appearing on the SU Sport show on University Radio Bath back in 2015 - he’s curated a fantastic group of guests for some really interesting conversations. I would encourage anyone interested in any aspect of sport, health and fitness to mix up the rotation and give it a listen.” Andy Galloway, SU Sport Officer 2018-19
