This year, the The SU University of Bath is working with Alzheimer’s Society to ask all our students and staff to become Dementia Friends. We want you to join the 2.8 million Dementia Friends in England and Wales, and lead the next generation in being dementia friendly.

We are one of the first Students Unions in the UK to pledge to become dementia friendly and will be one of the first Universities to roll out online Dementia Friends sessions. We are working with the Alzheimer’s Society to lead the way and reach out to our community to become dementia friendly.

Get involved with our new online Dementia Friends sessions and find out what small, day-to-day changes you can make that will help people affected by dementia feel safer, less isolated and better connected.

Over 850,000 people are living with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over a million by next year. As pivotal parts of the community, universities are ideally placed to help build a society where everyone affected by dementia is able to live well, without fear or prejudice.

What can you do?
