Together with the University we're planning a series of events throughout June to chance to get together with friends, meet new people and really feel at home on campus!
This year, because of the unknowns around COVID and uncertainty around how the government roadmap will play out and the financial risks involved, we’re absolutely devastated that it’s just not viable for us to deliver our typical end of year event ‘The Summer Ball’.
However, we’ve all missed out on so many social opportunities and feel it’s only fair to give you a chance to celebrate. So, together with the University we are planning ‘Summer at Bath’, a series of events including a funfair, nights out in the Plug, live music, a Fitness Fiesta, outdoor theatre, arts and crafts and more.
Summer at Bath will provide you with the chance to get together with friends, meet new people and really feel at home on campus. These events will kick off on Friday 28 May right up until Wednesday 30 June so there will be plenty of time to get involved. More details will be released over the next few weeks so keep your diaries clear and watch this space.
For those of you graduating, we’re thrilled that the University is doing everything they can to give you the opportunity to wear your gowns with pride and celebrate in style with your families and friends. We are currently looking at ways we can potentially open The Plug & The Tub to give you a real student night to remember (anyone for Score?). We’re working out how we can safely do this and remains dependent on the government roadmap, so we’ll let you know more details if/when they get firmed up.
So although we’re absolutely devastated that for the second year we’ve had to press pause on our flagship event we’re excited for the events ahead and can look forward to the return of The Summer Ball in 2022!
