V Collect - a project in the student led volunteering group V Team - has supported those in need with a collection of essential items.
V Collect ran a collection on campus from 28th February to 14th March in aid of Genesis, a local charity which helps homeless and vulnerable people Genesis Trust Bath. We collected many items, including lots of clothing, and were able to put together lifeline care packages containing essential items such as food and toiletries.
Genesis were pleased to recieve these items, saying "Thank you so much for the very kind and thoughtfully chosen care package donations. We have passed them on to our Life Projects team and they are very grateful indeed."
We’d like to thank everyone for their support. These items really will make a difference to those facing difficult circumstances, and show them that students care.
V Collect will be running another food collection on campus from 20th March. Look out for the decorated trolleys!
