As a choir we enjoy singing a wide range of classical music, from Handel to Whitacre. We perform at high-profile University events such as the University Christmas Carol service, and the Installation of Prince Edward as Bath’s Chancellor in Bath Abbey as well as smaller concerts in the Bath area. We rehearse once a week in addition to a workshop day every semester in Wells.
The main reason we get together is to sing: we love music and most of all we love singing together. If you think that you'd like to be part of a friendly and talented group of people (who also happen to sing) then Chamber Choir is the place for you.
We not only rehearse in The Edge, the university's newest addition to campus life, but in Chamber Choir you will also have the opportunity on several occasions to sing in Bath Abbey and other beautiful churches and venues around Bath and Somerset.
Since we have a hugely diverse choir, we also have socials to interest everyone, from Curryoke (curry then karaoke) to nights out on campus and in town. We also have at least two choir meals all together per semester, including a delicious Christmas Meal. If you have any ideas for Socials, our Social Secretary will be happy to listen.
The Univeristy Carol Service is taking place in Bath Abbey on Wednesday the 6th of December at 7.30pm!
It is free entry and we recommend to arrive early as it is a very popular event and seats fill up quickly!
As the Chamber Choir has a limited number of spaces available, we only audition once a year. However, places occasionally appear throughout the year, so please feel free to email us for more information.
