Then the meditation society may be the place for you. Our society meets every Wednesday evening in CB 3.11 (check the facebook page for changes), for a session lasting around an hour and a quarter. Once a week it's a great opportunity to learn how to meditate and gain some control over your thoughts and emotions.
Our teacher this year will be Sharon Collins, an experienced meditator and mindfulness practitioner. Based in Bath, Sharon has spent the last ten years studying meditation (primarily based on Buddhist scripture), and has been teaching for seven years. Her classes are relaxed, informal, and accessible to all. Based on personal experience, she shares the benefits of meditation and mindfulness with her students, and gives practical guidance on how they can apply them in their own lives, in order to enhance their mental well-being, improve their relationships, and perform to their full potential.
We hope to have a few social evenings throughout the year as well as have a couple of visits to the meditation center in Bristol.
