Bath Cue Sports Club
Every Monday evening between 6-8pm the club meets for its casual evening of pool in the Plug bar! We welcome anyone and everyone to this session, no matter your experience. Our only requirement is that you enjoy yourself; don't be afraid to jump on in and challenge people to a game of pool! We operate a very casual setup and the atmosphere is great fun - come along and find a member of the committee for a taster session. If you'd like to know more see below on reasons to join us, or alternatively get in touch with one of the committee.
- Come find us on Wednesday (27th September) from 11am for the Freshers Week Sports Day! We'll have a stand on Parade where we'll be happy to chat to everyone and everyone about what our club offers. We'll be the ones with all the pool balls - come and sign up to our mailing list to find out all the latest info about the club!
- There will also be a Sports Fair on the following Tuesday (3rd October), in the evening from 4pm until 7. Once again we will be at the stall with the pool balls to answer any questions you have!
Each semester we operate an internal team league for all of our members that want to develop their competitive edge. Please find the details on the club page here. We also enter teams into the 8-ball pool BUCS championships in Great Yarmouth, along with all other University competitions in the South. We currently operate 3 Men's Teams and a Women's Team that compete regularly.
This year we are hoping to grow further into snooker as a club, which means more external trips! On a weekly basis we will be taking a group to the Devonshire Arms pub in town, home of two high quality snooker tables. In addition, watch this space for news regarding snooker sessions in Bristol, the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester, and more!
On a competitive front we now compete in the Local Bath League in the 2nd Division. We also have 1 Team that competes regularly in all University competitions, including BUCS where last year we were promoted to the 1st Division. We want to take a second team this year though, so come and help us out by getting involved!
