What is the Student Leader Development Programme?
The programme features training developed specifically for student leaders, using scenarios that student leaders come across in different roles. You can also meet other student leaders, learn from their experiences and start building networks of support in your role. After attending training sessions, you will be able to put your newfound skills into practice in your current role. This will give great examples that you can talk about on job applications and at interviews, making you stand out from the crowd!

Sessions
Sessions in the Student Leader Development Programme are available at different points in the year and signups will go live around two weeks before sessions take place.
Some previous sessions include -
- Introduction to Leadership - an introduction to leadership skills that student leaders need in their roles.
- Introduction to Project Management - an introduction to key project management skills, based around the SU's project management processes.
- Mentoring Skills for Student Leaders - based on peer mentoring skills, this session explores how student leaders can support fellow students who are struggling.
Check this page regularly during the year to view available sessions, or keep an eye on your emails for opportunities to sign up to sessions.
