Performance Triathlon at Bath

As of 2017, Bath has been one of British Triathlon's National Performance Centres, led by Head Coach Rhys Davey with the support of South West Academy Director Blair Cartmell. The Centre is home to Olympians and ITU & ETU athletes, where they have access to the multi-million pound Sports Training Village, with its 2012 Olympic legacy pool, outdoor athletics track and new £3.5mn Team Bath gym.

The training group integrates closley with Student Triathlon, offering student athletes the opportunity to train and work alongside elite athletes. This has led to exponential success in the group in recent years, with the team coming away from BUCS Duathlon 2018 with the men's team and individual gold medals, and two top 10s and fourth overall in the womens race.
