Who are we?

We are a friendly and inclusive group of people with a shared interest in feminism! As a Diversity & Support group within the Students' Union, we are here to support you

If you'd like to have a chat about anything, please feel free to drop us a message! Find us on Instagram, WhatsApp, send us an email at feminism-gender-equality@bath.ac.uk, or come along to one of our meetings.

Our Goals

As a group, we aim to raise awareness and promote feminism and gender equality.

We are passionate about the liberation of women and marginalised genders and by extension the deconstruction of gender norms, roles, and stereotypes.

We believe that liberation can also only be achieved through an intersectional approach to feminism. Our society facilitates inclusive discussions and sharing of experiences between our members.

Ultimately, our main focus is to create a safe space where like-minded people can connect!

What do we do?

  • A variety of exciting socials, such as themed nights out or craft activities.

  • Powerful campaigns supporting a range of issues we are passionate about.

  • Protests to make our voices heard.

  • Safe discussion meetings relating to a range of topics.

How to get involved

This year we will be holding regular meetings, socials, and campaigns covering a range of different issues within feminism as well as arranging collaborations with other related groups such as BULU, Race Equality, and more.

To keep up to date with our events, follow us on Instagram @bathunifge, email us at feminism-gender-equality@bath.ac.uk, or join our WhatsApp group.

How can I join?

Members of this group can be as involved as they like. Our goal is to create a safe environment where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts - nobody will pressure you to do or say anything you don't want to. Some members may attend every meeting, some may only participate sometimes, and some may help promote or run a campaign of importance to them - it's up to you!

Membership is free, so join now, by 'adding' your membership to your SU basket on the left-hand side of our page! The best place to find us is on Instagram and our WhatsApp Group.

We look forward to meeting you all!

Love,

Feminism and Gender Equality Committee 2023/34 xoxo
