University of Bath Mixed Lacrosse

Mixed lacrosse offers players the opportunity to get to know everyone in the club whilst playing the sport in its most social and relaxed format. No prior lacrosse experience or equipment is needed, enabling mixed lacrosse to be a truly inclusive environment.

After a successful year in the Mixed Lacrosse League, achieving 5th place, we have entered into the league again this year. The teams are selected weekly, with a wide range of abilities from top top 1s team players, to player who have just picked up a stick for the first time, providing a great opportunity for less experienced players to get involved.

Training is held on a weekly basis on Fridays from 3-5 on the astro, with plenty of in-club run tournaments throughout the year, along with a few games of boozy mixed lacrosse! The club also runs fixtures against other universities and boasts a very successful record. The highlight fixture of the year is the annual grudge tournament against Bristol, where fierce on-field competition is followed by a joint social.

Following summer exams, the club goes on a week-long tour to sunny European locations. Previous destinations include Croatia, Spain and Italy. Ask any previous tourist and they’ll say it’s the highlight of the mixed and social calendar. For any questions regarding mixed lacrosse, feel free to get in contact with Jessie Henley (jih26@bath.ac.uk) or come along to any training weekly sessions.
