What We Do

We are a relaxed, friendly society open to anyone who has an interest in baking or simply eating baked goods! We hold fortnightly events and weekly Great British Bake-Off screenings! Follow our social media for updates on our events and get your societies membership and then sign up to baking soc!

We hope to see you at our next meeting and please bring along any friends, flatmates etc, we love meeting new faces who enjoy baking!

Regular Meetings!

We used to hold Bring Your Own Bake (BYOB) meetings, where you would bring something you’ve baked and try each others’ creations. However, due to Covid, we have thought up some alternatives this year!

• Themed online competitions (send in pictures)- first one will be for Halloween so look out for more info in a few weeks!
• Bring your own cakes to decorate!
• Virtual group baking from your kitchen
• Café socials and catch ups

(We’re hoping to bring back some BYOBs in Semester 2, covid permitting!).

Socials!

We regularly go to coffee shops and tearooms in Bath for a hot drink and a chat. Come along and meet fellow bakers, in a chilled friendly environment! Again check out Facebook for updates/polls on when would suit everyone to meet up!

Charity Bake Sales!

We hold or support charity bake sales, and have supported charities such as Children in Need, Age UK and Action Against Hunger.

Bake Off Screenings!

We show live weekly screenings of the Great British Bake Off whilst it runs during term-time. Come along and watch your favourite baking show with a big group of cake lovers! These will hopefully be starting in Week 1- but watch this space (and our socials) as we are having trouble finding a free room to book!
