Do I have to audition for the Choir?

Yes - We hold an audition at the beginning of term for anyone at the University and should all the voices be filled then we won't hold one again for the rest of term. We will publicise on this page and our Facebook page if we require new voices throughout the year.

Do I have to be able to read music?

It is not a prerequisite to be able to sightread however it will help you. We feel that a good tone is something we cannot teach however reading music is something that you can learn over time.

Once I've paid my membership, are there other costs?

Potentially. The membership fee helps us to purchase music, hire gowns and other important administrative tasks. When we perform, we have a lunch or dinner before or after the concert which we are unable to cover the costs for due to the size of the choir.

When are auditions?

Dates for the academic year 2019-2020 will be released in September. Watch this space!
