Cycling

What We Do

At University of Bath Cycling Club we cater for all types of rider, whether you are a beginner or compete in national and international events.

For the 2023/24 academic year we have a full schedule! We lead Road and Off-Road rides every Wednesday throughout term-time, with rides split into several ability-based groups, as well as having regular weekend rides organised on a more casual basis. Please don't hesitate to come along, there is room for everyone!

If you are interested in Track cycling, we will be organising several trips to Newport Velodrome (beginners and experienced riders welcome). For our female members, we also run Women's-only spin classes and outdoor rides.

At University of Bath CC there is no pressure for anyone to make the team, we just like to see like-minded people riding bikes and having a good time.

As well as being inclusive we look to give maximum opportunities and support for those who are driven to compete. We subsidise race entries for the most enthusiastic riders throughout the club; whether that be someone competing for race wins or simply someone looking to get over the hurdle of entering their first race.

During the 2023/24 academic year, we have some BIG events planned – so watch this space! These include free or heavily subsidised trips to various MTB/Track cycling locations and cycling holidays (Road and MTB) abroad over the inter-semester break and in the summer.

Keep an eye out on our social media for details of our skills coaching sessions and inter-club racing opportunities.

We organise two spinning sessions every week (Monday for all members, Friday for women-only), completely free for our members.

Every member of UoBCC has the opportunity to buy our awesome kit, which will be available to purchase early in first and second semester.

Above all, joining UoBCC will put you in contact with a fantastic group of people who share a common interest and a love for all things two-wheeled. Please join us and get involved!
