The Bristol University Officers' Training Corps (BrUOTC) is an Army Reserve Unit specifically for university students which offers a unique experience to students looking to challenge and develop themselves, make life-long friends and get paid.


You'll receive internationally recognised leadership training and the opportunity to immerse yourself in a variety of sports and adventurous training. The training is designed to fit around your academic commitment’s and you are under no obligation to join the Regular Army or Army Reserves.

Bristol UOTC fields competitive teams in many disciplines such as Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Football and much more. As an Officer Cadet you will be supported to try new sports and even compete at the highest levels in your chosen field.

Adventurous Training features strongly throughout the UOTC year and enables Officer Cadets to test and stretch their limits. You can train in anything from kayaking in the UK to skiing the Alps, rock climbing in Bavaria and everything in between.

The chance to travel all over the world on Adventurous Training, from Sky Diving to Skiing, and everything in between.
