Committee

The Committee

Like every sports club at Bath, the UBKC is run by a keen and dedicated group of students - each elected by fellow club members. You can catch us at training and competitions, and we are your points of contact for any club-related queries or issues. The UBKC committee for the 2022/23 academic year are:

Catherine Yoong
Chair

Hi everyone! I'm Catherine, a 3rd year Chemical Engineering student. I'm your Chair this year, so if you have any questions about sign-ups, licences or anything about Karate or the Club in general, feel free to ask!

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Farouk Attia
Vice-Chair

Hi! I’m Farouk, hailing from the desert and the heat, and I’ll be your vice-chair for this upcoming year! Im a second year student and I would love to share my passion for karate with you, and help you feel complete and included in our club. You can always come to me for anything, and I’ll do everything I can for you :)

Adam Deaney
Treasurer

My name is Adam and I'm the club's Treasurer. I started Karate in first year and I remember how welcoming the club was to beginners. In Karate there are lots of opportunities to get involved, with training sessions throughout the week and regular socials. I strongly recommend experiencing the competitive side of Karate as I have good memories of competing for Bath at the National Karate Championships as part of BUCS in Sheffield.

I look forward to seeing you in the dojo!

Alex Barrett
Men's Captain

Hi, I’m Alex and I’m your 2022/23 Men’s Captain. I’ve been practicing karate for 12 years and specialise in kata. In my free time I like listening to music and drinking too much beer. I can’t wait to get to know all our new Freshers in the Autumn.

Charlotte Prince
Women's Captain & Social Secretary

Conrad Gacay
Kit Officer
