The role of Hall Reps is to ensure that the first year of University is the best it can possibly be. There are 8 representative positions for each accommodation area, and an extra Lead Rep position for City's Private Rented Accommodation.

The role of a Hall Rep includes organising social and sporting, and cultural events as well as reporting your feedback on halls. There are additional duties depending on which type of hall rep role a person takes on – for example, the Lead Rep, Community Rep, or Sports Rep.

Hall Reps benefit from skills development (e.g. communication, teamwork, events planning) which is beneficial for your CV, the chance to meet, socialise with and represent students in your area and insider knowledge about the opportunities and events happening on campus. The roles also open up avenues for continued involvement in the Students’ Union, and count towards the Bath Award.
