Part time work that makes a difference
Would you like to provide a level of care fit for your own family members, gain valuable experience, and earn good money? If you want to make a positive difference to an older person’s life, then this could be just the job for you. Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care, supporting people to live independently in their own homes. We provide a range of personal care, home help and companionship to our elderly clients, with their well-being at the heart of everything we do.
The Bath and West Wiltshire branch of Home Instead has been providing top quality domiciliary care in the local area since 2011 and are currently looking to grow our family of CAREGivers in the Bath area. This type of work could fit around your university commitments as well as providing valuable experience if studying subjects such as Psychology, Sociology or Social work.
You need to have a friendly, kind and caring nature, your own reliable transport, to be willing to visit a client displaying symptoms of Covid-19 (in the unlikely event that this is necessary, and with required PPE).
We offer a great culture, paid training, and a chance to make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable and isolated in our community.
We have adapted our training program to keep applicants safe, our in-house training will be conducted within social distancing guidelines with the rest of your training done online from home. We’re also offering a quick turnaround on DBS checks so that those with a heart for care can get straight into the role where they’re needed most.
We especially need CAREGivers during evenings and weekends.
Benefits: Our hourly pay rates – Home Help calls are £10.00 going up to £11.40 on the weekend, and Personal Care calls are £10.60 going up to £12.60 on the weekend. We offer paid travel and waiting time, company pension and health scheme as well as 24-hour access to our Employment Assistance Programme to support your wellbeing. We support you to gain your Care Certificate and offer opportunities to gain further qualifications.
