The Advice & Support Centre is here to guide and support you with any problems you may have during your time at Bath. Our professional advisors offer confidential, independent and non- judgemental information, advice and support. Our advisers are fully trained to give assistance and empower you to find the best resolution to any issues you may face.
We offer support across a wide range of areas including housing, academic appeals, complaints, wellbeing and welfare, personal safety and sexual health. We also have links with local solicitors who can offer free legal guidance to our students.
Run by fellow students and supported by SU staff, we also run a number of diversity and support groups. These groups organise events and offer social opportunities to meet students who may share similar experiences. The D&S Groups run campaigns aimed at raising awareness of particular issues and also get involved in influencing policy and practice change within the University. The groups are: Enable (disabled students group), Bath Erasmus and Exchange Network (BEN), Gender Equality, LGBT+, Race Equality Group, Mature Students, Student Minds and Nightline.
You can get involved and volunteer for the Support Team and raise awareness on such issues as getting home safely, housing, drugs, alcohol, mental health and wellbeing: Get involved
