Whether you have a role in a society, group, club , sport or execs, as a group committee member, you are also a student leader in the SU.
Below you will find relevant training for your role, Chair, Finance, Event Management, Welfare and Marketing. There are others too such as Food safety and Health and Safety which you will need for events, plus trainings like Inclusion that will support your entire role as well as externally.
As Chair you are expected to complete the Chair trainings alongside Finance. Treasurers are expected to complete Finance as well. Finance training this year is being rolled out in September due to a finance system change. Please ensure Chairs and Treasurers are signed up to the Group Conference (Groups Conference 2026/27) to recieve this.
The remaining trainings on here will significantly support roles throughout the year, with Event Management, Food safety, Health and Safety covering aspects around risk assessments and planning events. Do try to ensure a variety of committee members have completed key ones below, related to your committee.
