We are looking to put together two teams of campaigners from both sides of the argument about whether The SU should or shouldn’t be affiliated to the NUS.
As the community of students at the University of Bath, we believe that students should be empowered to make the key decisions that affect us and our students’ union (The SU). We have an important one coming soon, about whether The SU should be affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS). The last time students had to make a decision on this was back in 2013 when students decided to affiliate, so we will need to do a referendum (all student vote) on NUS affiliation this academic year.
To help with this, we are looking to put together two team of campaigners from both sides of the argument about whether The SU should or shouldn’t be affiliated. Therefore, this is a call out for that anyone with interest in our affiliation to NUS – if you are a NUS-sceptic or feel strongly that we should remain affiliated, please get in touch with us at: sureturningofficer@bath.ac.uk.
