It's an important date to all of us in the Freshers' Week office, it's exactly 1 month today (27th August) that Freshers' Week launches! Of course our physical work (at least not the organisational work...) for Freshers' Week starts the week before with the training of our 300+ volunteers, packing bedroom bags and essentials packs, and putting the last minute things in place, but the launch night will be a very special one for us. It will be the night when 8 months of work comes to a head in an epic party in the Founders' Sports Hall, with Bath favourites the Chip Shop Boys getting the week off to a swing. Although the official opening of Freshers' Week is at 9.30 on Monday 27th September (remember the date!) we have loads going on during the day to get you warmed up and ready for an awesome week!
Speaking of an awesome week, we have confirmed the main acts for each night, with the likes of Chesney Hawkes, Zane Lowe, Beat a Maxx and Chase and Status performing, each night is guaranteed to be fantastic!
If the big party nights are not really your thing, then we have lots of other events running at the same time, from bingo to speed dating, from a silent disco to comedy there's always something going on!
To ensure you can attend all these events, then I recommend that you purchase a wristband, or if you want a hand with dressing up each night, as well as some student essentials, you can also buy a wristband together with an essentials pack in our bonus pack, which will save you money!
With only a month to go, it's probably about time I stopped writing and went back to organising what promises to be one of the best Freshers' Weeks yet!
Ciao!
