#PITCHPLEASE- A Campaign for 3G pitches UPDATE 2

Wondering why you haven't seen much #PitchPlease content recently?

Don't worry! we haven't taken our foot off the gas! After a lot of pestering on social media, a Council-Senate-SU report, and multiple meetings with the VC, VP Implementation and VP Student experience; the university is now looking to produce a feasibility report on the build of 3G pitch facilities

I'm going to be part of a project control group, looking to source external consultants to work out a proactive way of getting the facilities we desperately need, quickly!

This feasibility report is going to look at the location of the pitches, environmental and ecological factors and how they can be mitigated, as well as a variety of other factors.

In these meetings, I'm going to be making sure that the facilities that are built prioritise student usage, and that the PCG make environmentally and ecologically responsible choices.

It's a big step, and one that wouldn't be happening without such great engagement of the club committees, exec, students and DSDR.

So rest assured, stuff is happening, but now it's from meeting rooms! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the #PitchPlease campaign!

3G love,

Tom xox

In other news, the 3G training strip is now finished, so this is now the second biggest 3G facility at the Uni!
