We believe in building and safeguarding a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals, we acknowledge and respect their right to freedom of conscience and their right to develop their talents to the full.
Who We Are
Bath University Liberal Democrat Society exists to promote and champion Liberalism. We are affiliated with the Liberal Democrats, and work with the local Bath Liberal Democrat on various issues and co-ordinate with them on a diverse range of political activities.
What We Do
In the past we have hosted Wera Hobhouse, Bath’s Liberal Democrat MP, held friendly and fun socials, and engaged in campaigning events with the Bath Liberal Democrats
For the next semester we are aiming to:
- Hold regular socials
- Host a variety of speakers
- Engage with local political campaigns
- Influence national Liberal Democrat policy
- Join forces with the national Young Liberals to debate policy and campaign.
