In this session we will draw using charcoal, pencil or pastel onto large sheets of paper “from a place of no mind”.
Those of you who meditate know about clearing the mind, a sense of calm without thought. We are going to use this idea as a starting point.
To quote Eckhart Tolle; “artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no mind,-the mind then gives form to the creative impulse."
We will keep drawing and mark making until we feel ready to make an assessment of what each of us has created. These images will be full of lines, marks, scribbles, shades that are part of our subconscious, unpredictable and personal to each of us. We will keep pushing our drawing to open our creativity and surprise us in its visual realisation, whether in pursuit of a figurative image or delving into compositional abstraction.
It will be an experience of surprise and revelation.
Please note, we do not offer refunds for these workshops.
