Model United Nations Debating Taster Session #1

MUN stands for Model United Nations, and it is a simulation of how the real United Nations works.

You will be given a country to represent, as well as a topic to debate (Nuclear Non-Proliferation this week). Everybody else will be given a country to represent as well - and here comes the challenge. You will need to find a way to reach common grounds with countries which have a similar opinion to yours (that's the easy part). The challenging part is convicing those other countries that historically have tensions with yours (to put it mildly).

You really never know what to expect from an MUN session, but if it is anything like last year, it is definitely worth the Thursday afternoon.
