Chill out space in the City

Have a relax alone or with friends with comfortable seating, games, and crafts. This is the space to come if you fancy a breather in the busy days of Freshers' Week or are waiting for the next event to start. There is indoor and outdoor seating so you're sorted no matter the weather!

This event is free to attend and open to all students - just turn up - you do not need a wristband to attend! However, you may be required to check in upon arrival so please bring your student card with you. 

Important 

To enter the Virgil Building you will need your library card, please scan your card on the keypad to the right of the main entrance doors and again to get through the turnstiles on the right as you walk in. There will be Freshers' Week captains present to help. This space will be monitored sporadically by Freshers' Week captains and SU staff.

Accessibility information - What do I need to know about this event?

The chill out space will be a quiet and calm environment you can drop in and out of whenever you like. There are vending machines with food and drink available to purchase. There will be a member of staff at reception at all times. Please see The Virgil Building for further accessibility information.
