Sumo Robot Fighting Competition Launch Event

Hi everyone, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Second Makerspace Sumo Robot Fighting Competition next Thursday, 30/10/25 at 5:30pm in the Makerspace(4E2.29). The Sumo Robot Competition is a non-destructive robot fighting competition where teams or individuals face-off in the Sumo Ring and the last one standing wins!

Signups and team-finding for the full sumo robot fighting competition will take place at this event. No engineering/programming experience is necessary to take part in the competition; we have designed the competition to have as low of a barrier to entry as possible, and will be holding introductory workshops throughout the semester. The entry fee will be £12 per team. Teams will also have to the option to buy starter kits.
