RAG are taking part in #CompassionAtChristmas
Compassion At Christmas is a campaign started by Compassionate Community Model and 3SG to help spread kindness during this lonely time of year and our first act is the First Steps Gift Appeal!
RAG are taking part in #CompassionAtChristmas? Compassion At Christmas is a campaign started by the Compassionate Community Model and 3SG to help spread kindness during this particularly lonely time of year and support those that need it most.
Bath University and the SU Bath are working in partnership to spread compassion on our campus! There’s plenty ways you can get involved with the Compassionate at Christmas campaign such as doing “random acts of compassion” or signing up to one of the many opportunities posted by our SU in the upcoming weeks.
This week, RAG challenge you to complete a random act of compassion by supporting First Steps Christmas Toy Appeal...
What can I do?
This Christmas, First Steps are seeking donations of small wind-up toys for children at Twerton and Moorlands Community Nursery. To support the appeal and to ensure that, where possible, the toys are sourced from UK based companies RAG have launched an online fundraiser so that we may provide new toys for the children. You can donate to the fundraiser here (if you copy the link into your browser):

Donating just £5 to this appeal will provide a special needs child with a small windup toy this Christmas. First Steps have also asked for donations of inspiring picture books. We have compiled a list of the recommended books ready-to-buy here if you would like to support this:

Who are First Steps?
First Steps’ aim is to improve outcomes for young children in areas of need by working alongside their families and other professionals, through their Early Childhood Community Centres and their Specialist Early Years Centre Bath Opportunity Pre School (BOP), which provides Early Years Education and therapeutic services to children with additional needs. They provide quality, inclusive childcare and services for families that enable children to enjoy education and learning in a warm and welcoming environment and support parents back into education, training and employment. First Steps were also voted by students to be supported as one of RAG's Big Four charities this year. For more information about First Steps, you can view their website here:
