We are holding a vigil in the Chaplaincy to mark Trans Day of Remembrance - a day where we remember and honour those that have died across the world due to anti-transgender violence.

We will be reading the names of each person who has died, following the list and information collected by https://tdor.translivesmatter.info/reports. We will also have a room in CB 3.10 for anyone who wants to join us but doesn't feel comfortable in the Chaplaincy - we will have a livestream running in this room.

At the time of writing, there are 392 reported deaths - reading through the names is likely to take some time and we expect this to be quite a tough listen. We ask, particularly any trans people joining us, that you are kind to yourself, and only come to this event if it is safe for you to do so. We will be taking measures to provide a safe and supportive space for this and conversations it may evoke, and we would encourage anyone who needs support to reach out to the Wellbeing Team.
