We manufacture and supply traditional, sustainable and ecological building, insulation and decorating materials. Our aim is to educate and promote the use of building products that are better for you, better for your home and better for the environment.

About the role

This is a full-time internship (35 hours/week) for 10 weeks with a salary of £385 per week.

The role is based at our office in Devon, at Buckland Filleigh Sawmills, Buckland Filleigh, Devon EX21 5RN.

Start date: 1st of August 2019 at the latest, depending on the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote GEOCELL foam glass insulation aggregate to the construction and civil engineering markets in the U.K.
  • Achieve a good knowledge of the GEOCELL product range and their application in order to advise customers and undertake site visits to promote GEOCELL products.
  • Devise marketing material including support for a dedicated website.
  • Research each specific industry to ensure familiarity with current practices and specifications, typical costs, benefits of GEOCELL.
  • Establish and contact target groups.
  • Ensure our technical sales staff have suitable training and technical support.
  • Contribute to the running of seminars, workshops, trade shows.
  • Contribute to CPD events.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Promoting GEOCELL, advising on specification and use, generating sales orders.
  • Organising and undertaking visits to potential customers and specifiers.
  • Undertaking whatever tasks are required for the smooth running of the business.

Candidate requirements:

  • Commitment to the success of the firm and satisfaction of its customers.
  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Conscientious approach to all tasks, however minor.
  • Numeracy, literacy and computer literacy.
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as a team member.
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
