My client is looking for somebody to be a companion and supervisor to her 11 year old daughter with Autism.
Zoe is a very friendly, sociable young girl. She loves talking to people, animals, being outside and playing imaginative games with her barbies and soft toys.
The right candidate would enjoy spending time outside, chatting and playing make believe games. The ideal candidate will need to be mature in nature, and have experience of Autism and behavioural issues. You will also need to have a calm but firm manner, patience, a good sense of humour and lots of energy.
The candidate will initially be accompanied by the mother, and work towards lone working and providing companionship to access the community and encourage engagement in social activities such as play parks, shops, cafes and the general outdoors.
Daughter can be impulsive and requires somebody that is able to put a boundary in when needed, they must also be physically fit enough to keep pace with her and steady on their feet. Daughter also needs supervision around road safety, contact with strangers and dogs.
Having access to a car is essential to this post. PA will also need to have a full, clean UK driving license.
