What You’ll Do:
This is a varied role with a range of tasks and responsibilities, including:
-
Responding to queries from students, staff, and members of the public via email
-

What We Offer
The Skills Centre Operations Team is a small but highly effective and flexible team. You’ll be working with us in our offices in Wessex House and will have the support of all members of the team and the wider Skills Centre staff.
This role will give you the opportunity to develop valuable skills in administration, operations, and customer service, and the chance to build connections with professional colleagues. We’re always open to new ideas and different ways of working, so you’ll be able to make suggestions and explore your own ideas too.
This is a flexible, casual role and we’re happy to agree your working hours so that they fit around your schedule (ideally, you’ll work the same hours every week, so that we can plan your workload effectively). You will need to work all your hours within a standard working week (Monday-Friday 09:00 – 17.20) and be on campus for most of the time.
Who We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be someone who:
- Is comfortable using Excel, Office 365 (particularly Microsoft Teams and Outlook), and Canva
- Can take on board new information quickly and isn’t afraid to try something new
- Has fantastic attention to detail
- Can write in a clear, concise way and adapt their style to different audiences
- Isn’t afraid to contact new people and ask for help or information
We’re looking for you to demonstrate your experience of these important skills, so make sure you include examples in your covering letter/statement. Your examples can be from other jobs you’ve held, or from your time as a student, or could be from volunteer or committee roles you’ve held.
Hourly pay is £12.91 an hour + Holiday Pay = £14.47 per hour
Please apply by sending a CV and covering letter/statement on why you would be a perfect fit to Kyra Ings, Operations and Communications Coordinator skillscareers-ops@bath.ac.uk.
